About the Contest

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Contest will commence August 1 the beginning date applications will be accepted. The deadline to enter will be 5 pm on September 22nd. Included with your application you will need to submit a concept paper providing an overview of your business idea. From the applications and concept papers, we will announce semi-finalists by September 26. Please consult the tab 'more information' for additional contest dates and deadlines1. The eventual contest winner(s) will be announced in December at Light Up Night, Franklin Trail Town, November 18, 2017. The first place prize winner will receive $5,000, second place $2,000 and third place $1,000 which will be disbursed at the Oil Region Alliance's discretion as noted in the Winner's Agreement form.

All Contestants must read and review the Contestant's Terms and Conditions form. In order to participate, Contestants must agree in writing to the rules, regulations, terms and conditions. In addition, the winners must sign the Winner's Agreement form (if selected).

Should the Contest's Selection Committee ("Committee") and/or Judges determine no business plan is acceptable; the Oil Region Alliance in its sole discretion reserves the right to declare no winner and to not award the prizes to any Contestant.
